Denomination: Barbera d’Alba D.O.C. Superiore.
Grape variety: 100% Barbera.
Refining: 12-month refining before bottling, whereof at least 4 months spent in oak barriques.
Good and intense ruby red colour with a persuasive nose, an intense perfume of damsons and chocolate. On the palate it has great concentration and intensity, with very ripe and plummy fruit and lovely balance between supple tannins and youthful acidity.
Mushroom risotto, roast and grilled red meat, cheese.
Cellar life: 8 years.
